To commemorate Ram Navami 2024, the stock exchanges on the NSE and BSE are closed today. The stock, equity derivatives, SLB, currency derivatives, and interest rate derivatives will all be closed today, April 17, according to the BSE website, bseindia.com.
Holiday For The Stock Market on Ram Navami 2024
The Ram Navami holiday has caused the Indian stock exchanges, NSE and BSE, to stay closed for trade today. The Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) will reopen for trading in the evening between 5 and 11:30/11:55 pm, however, it will not be open for trading in the morning between 9 am and 5 pm.
When Will Trading On The BSE And NSE Stock Exchanges Resume?
The BSE and NSE websites state that on April 18, at 9:15 am, the domestic stock market will begin regular trading after a fifteen-minute pre-opening session that began at 9:00 am.
April 2024 will have MCX vacations for the commodities market.
Because of Ram Navami, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will not be open in the morning. Trading will resume in the evening. Trading on the MCX takes place from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, followed by a session from 5:00 pm to 11:30/11:55 pm.

Ram Navami is the last trading holiday in April 2024, according to the stock market holidays schedule for 2024. Because it is Maharashtra Day on May 1, the stock market will not be open.
