IT companies prioritize “Generative AI.”

These days, IT companies include generative AI into every discussion they have with their customers. IT companies recently said on their Q4 results call that there is a lot of optimism about this technology.

Customer interest in proof of concept (POC) on the efficiencies that Gen AI may offer in application development, application maintenance, and deployment automation is high, according to K Krithivasan, CEO and MD of TCS. “Gen AI is steadfastly at the forefront of the technology trends,” Krithivasan said.

Innovation in many industries is being fueled by Gen AI’s capacity to provide fresh data and content. TCS is spending $900 million on AI and Gen AI initiatives right now. Accenture has revealed $1.1 billion in income from new Gen AI bookings over the first half of the year (the fiscal year runs from September to August).

The work we are undertaking on Gen AI is rather extensive, according to Infosys CEO and MD Salil Parekh. “We don’t publicly reveal the income component of such job. But what we are doing now is working on a lot of projects with a number of our customers on real programs that they are implementing across the company, rather than simply proof of concept, he said.

He continued by saying that our 3 million lines of code, produced by huge language models in Gen AI, are unquestionably industry leading. Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and HCLTech all discussed the importance of Gen AI during their results call.
