Musk said that this week, all X Premium users will be able to use the Grok AI chatbot

Elon Musk stated on Wednesday that the X platform would soon make its “Grok” AI chatbot available to more paying members in an attempt to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

The CEO of SpaceX and Tesla revealed that Grok would be accessible to all Premium users in a post on X, previously Twitter.

“Grok will be enabled for all premium subscribers (not just premium+) later this week,” the X owner said.

Developers and researchers may now access Grok, an AI chatbot developed by Musk’s xAI, in an open-source form as of last week. The business announced on its blog that it was “releasing the weights and architecture of our 314 billion parameter Mixture-of-Experts model, Grok-1.”

GitHub, an open-source development platform, now offers the AI chatbot.

Grok was made available in 46 nations last year, including Australia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Singapore, in addition to India.

The microblogging platform has already granted US Premium+ members access to its Grok AI (beta). The most recent data from Sensor Tower shows that after Musk was acquired in October 2022, X use in the US has decreased by 23% and by 18% year over year.

This week, Musk made headlines as well when he discussed additional features that would be included in the Premium membership. He added that free access to X Premium and X Premium+ membership is available to anybody having either 5000 or 2500 confirmed subscriber follows.
