Sensex Gains Almost 190 PTS, Nifty Exceeds 22,150; Today Is T+0 Settlement Day

The BSE Sensex increased by 153.03 points after starting the day at 73,149.34 in the green zone. The NSE Nifty50 index increased by 39.95 points, or 0.18 percent, after beginning the day at 22,163.60 in the green zone.

In the early morning trading, the Nifty Bank index also saw gains, rising by 285 points, or 0.60%, to 47,071.85.

Both the Nifty Mid Cap 100 and the Small Cap 100 began trading higher. At 46,923.85, the Nifty Bank increased by 0.29 percent.

Top Losers in the SENSEX include Tata (-0.22%), Bharti Airtel (-0.04%), Asian Paints (-0.09%), Reliance Industries (-0.05%), HCL Tech (-0.18%), and Maruti (-0.66%).

Top SENSEX Gainers: Tata Steel (+0.69%), Bajaj Finance ( +0.69%), JSW Steel (+0.68%), Power Grid (+1.09%), State Bank of India (+0.91%), Infosys (+0.72%), Bajaj Finserv (+1%).

Pre-open Markets
Prior to the market opening, the Sensex was up 153.03 points, or 0.21 percent, at 73,149.34. The Nifty50 index was also up 39.95 points, or 0.18 percent, at 22,163.60.

The Sensex increased by 526.01 points on March 27 to close at 72,996.31. In addition, the NSE Nifty increased by 118.95 points, or 0.54%, to close at 22,123.65.

The Nifty Bank index, which is made up of 12 banking companies, increased by 185.75 points, or 0.40 percent, on March 27 to close at 46,785.95.
