Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan are referred to by Karan Johar as “two pillars of his life”: “I will be appreciative forever.”

Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan have been Karan Johar’s “two pillars” of his business for the last 25 years, he recently said. In 1995, Karan helped with Chopra’s directorial debut, “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge,” and had a minor part. SRK and Kajol played the main parts in the movie. Three years later, Karan cast “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” his directorial debut, starring both SRK and Kajol.

Karan believes that meeting Shah Rukh Khan and Aditya Chopra in life is fate.He said that they saw something in him that he did not see in himself, and that they are the cornerstones and the two reasons he is in his present role. The rest was quite passionate, he said, adding that he is always appreciative of them for that. But Karan pointed out that it may have been very difficult if he had not had such individuals in such influential positions.

He went on to say that despite all the difficulties, individuals may still succeed completely on their own because their own belief systems might be powerful enough. However, he views the emergence of his challenges later in life as a blessing. Two individuals who had a deep belief in him but were not blood or family relatives made the first step possible. The director also said that nothing is possible without hard effort, even if he refers to it as fate.

He was present at the ninth National Leadership Conclave of the All India Management Association, where he received the 2023 “Director of the Year” award for “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.”
