After 13 years of marriage, Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher file for divorce, saying, “We are putting our racquets down.”

After 20 years of dating, the adored Hollywood couple Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen have chosen to split up. In a joint message, the couple used Instagram to inform their admirers of the tragic news.

Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen announced their divorce on Friday in a joint statement on Instagram. “We are finally putting our racquets down after a long tennis match lasting over twenty years,” the pair wrote with a photo of themselves dressed in similar tennis attire. We mutually filed to dissolve our marriage in 2023.”

“We have always prioritized our privacy and have been quietly working through this change,” the statement said. We will always be united in our love and commitment to our kids. We are so grateful that you honored our family’s need for privacy.

After initially meeting in 2000 at a party in Sydney, Australia, Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen were engaged in 2004 and married six years later. She had a great sense of humor. We were both at this very pompous party, and we got along well by making fun of everyone else. I knew right away. In 2020, Cohen said to the New York Times, “I’m not sure if she did.” Three children are the couple’s offspring from their union.

Although Sacha Baron Cohen became well-known for his Ali G character, he is also well-known for his work as an Australian fashionista Bruno and a Kazakh reporter.
