Humor from Vijay Deverakonda As he waited for her to arrive in Kushi, he was prepared to open the “Samantha Idli Stall”

Vijay Deverakonda spoke up about delaying Kushi after Samantha Ruth Prabhu had to stop shooting due to a myositis diagnosis. After Samantha was given the auto-immune diagnosis in 2021, Kushi was suspended for the uninitiated. She started working again, concluding Shaakuntalam and Yashoda before starting again on Kushi. Regarding her protracted absence, Vijay said that the team was prepared to wait ten years for her to come back.

“There was nothing else to do. I don’t even think we accomplished anything noteworthy; I believe that was our only choice. We didn’t mind waiting since we weren’t in a rush. She matters to us because we are aware of how much she adds to the movie and because her wellbeing is important. Everyone made the choice to just wait. We wait if it is just for six months. We wait if it is a year. during one time, I was willing to wait,” he stated during the premiere of the Kushi teaser.

“By that time, the first part of the shoot was over. I thought, “What if we do the second half like ten years later?” If this is going to take some time and she has to heal. If their marriage is how we start and finish it, then let’s stop the movie, shoot it ten years later, and make it a movie about their journey throughout that time. And we would make fun of it. While waiting, Shiva (the director) and I discussed starting an idli stand on the Vijaywada highway. We decided to name it Samantha Idli Stall in her honor and serve some idlis, Vijay said.

“We made fun of it, waited, and it was really worthwhile. We appreciate you working so hard to complete the project despite her struggles, he added.

Kushi, which was directed by Shiva Nirvana, is the duo’s second movie. Additionally, they appeared together in the 2018 movie Mahanati. Kushi was filmed in several locations around Andhra Pradesh and Kashmir. The plot of the film centers on the romance between an army officer and a Kashmiri woman from Jammu and Kashmir’s highlands.
