If Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan don’t “adapt to current time,” they “will be left behind.”

In the most recent episode of the podcast “What the Hell, Navya,” Navya Nanda gave her grandmother Jaya Bachchan credit for being adaptable and keeping up with the times. Navya, Jaya, and Shweta Bachchan discussed the difficulties of evolving with the times and the need to experience life at various ages.

Speaking to Amitabh Bachchan, Navya Naveli Nanda said, “I feel today that you are over a certain age, that you are adapting to current times and that’s such a beautiful thing.” They must take action, Jaya Bachchan said, “or else we will be left behind.”

“It can’t be easy for you all to suddenly see all of these new things happening,” Navya remarked, praising her grandparents. However, I really admire how open you are to changing with the times and adapting to them.

Jaya Bachchan said that she enjoys hanging out with the younger crowd. “I completely agree with that. This is how I felt. I had a lot I wanted to do. I love my friends and like spending time with them, but I prefer spending time with the younger generation far more. That is the biggest praise I can offer the younger generation. I like seeing them interact and listening to them as I sit. For me, it’s very exciting,” she said.

Jaya Bachchan also discussed in the program how parents from various generations need to adjust to new customs. According to Shweta Bachchan, her parents shielded her from Navya more than she does. Because we were ignorant, we were more cautious. That’s what our education says. That is the way our upbringing was. Shweta, you’ve been raised in a different way. Jaya said, “You’ll raise your kids even more differently.”
