Is Divyanka Tripathi Averse To Working On TV? ‘The Problem Is…’ Says Actress in a Bold Statement

TV personality Divyanka Tripathi, who gained popularity from daily soap operas like “Banoo Main Teri Dulhann” and “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein,” said that she avoids working on tiny screens since the characters aren’t developed enough these days.

“A character has great significance for me. Playing a character that is well-written is enjoyable. The issue is that the TV series I’ve been given doesn’t reveal the show’s narrative for a month. In an interview with PTI, the actor said, “Then it is susceptible to sudden changes, and in that case, you can’t chew on the idea.”

But on ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein,’ I collaborated with some great guys, including Sandeep Sikand. Because the creators had clarity and I had a character graph, my work was made easier. If I can achieve that and the role is written effectively, I would love to do TV. I don’t see that type of clarity (on TV series) anymore,” she said.

Television, according to Tripathi, has had a major influence on her professional life. She began her career as an anchor on All India Radio (AIR).

It helped me learn how to act and launched my career. TV is the best acting school there is, the actor said.

She is now a part of the spy thriller series “Adrishyam – The Invisible Heroes.” The actress said that after her ligament surgery in August of last year, she was initially undecided about accepting the offer.

“I’m always looking for fresh character development opportunities and novel experiences. This position differs greatly from my previous experience. I was thrilled when they presented it to me, she remarked. But I wasn’t sure whether I could pull it off or not. Would I heal from the operation in time? As a result, they were waiting to start the job and had deadlines. The actress said, “I worked so hard to make sure that we started filming on schedule, and I had two months to recuperate.

The SonyLIV series, which also stars Eijaz Khan, is about two undercover intelligence agents who, while seeming to be normal staff members of the meteorology department, neutralize terror threats. Parvati is portrayed by Tripathi, while Ravi is portrayed by Khan.

The performer expressed her gratitude for being given the chance to work on the series and try her hand at acting.

“They don’t develop roles like that for women on television, therefore, I was never asked for one. Such characters do exist, but they didn’t get the same response. We are seeing a range of female characters on OTT, and the idea of female covert operatives is novel to the online world,” she said.

Anshuman Sinha and Sachin Pandey are creating “Adrishyam: The Invisible Heroes” for Sony LIV.
