When Aastha Sharma Practiced For A Dance Sequence For 16 Hours

Being a non-dancer, actress Aastha Sharma, who plays Neerja in “Neerja… Ek Nayi Pehchaan,” had to take on the task of dancing by practicing for 16 hours nonstop.

The social drama’s plot revolves on Neerja’s efforts to escape Sonagachi and establish a life of dignity. In the current plot, Neerja is forced to make a sacrifice in order to free a few children from Didun’s captivity. She has good intentions, but Abeer doesn’t get it. The story now includes a dance routine that Aastha had to pull off.

Aastha said that she needed to learn dancing in order to be able to pass like a superb dancer on camera when she was really not one. For a non-dancer, mastering postures and dancing steps might be quite difficult, but I had to rise to the challenge.

“I had my phone off and started practicing the sequence for 16 hours straight,” she said. I was surprised to find that dancing was enjoyable and that whatever fear I had was unfounded. I’m happy this show helped me learn a new talent.

“I want to thank the choreographer for being kind and helpful to me while I learned the movements. I felt like I was taking a test the day I filmed this scene. I’m glad that my efforts were successful.

Colors airs “Neerja… Ek Nayi Pehchaan.”
