Lily Gladstone and Bowen Yang collaborate on the remake of “The Wedding Banquet.”
Leading lady Lily Gladstone from “Killers of the Flower Moon” will co-star with Bowen Yang in Andrew Ahn’s next film. According to an entertainment news site, Kelly Marie Tran, Yuh-jung Youn, and Joan Chen will complete the cast of the movie, which is a remake of Ang Lee’s 1993 romantic comedy “The Wedding Banquet”.
The narrative of a couple who want to marry for their personal advantages will be followed; however, when the woman’s grandmother comes an unexpected visit, everything turns upside down. Filming is set to begin in Vancouver in May.
Gladstone, 37, most recently starred with Leonardo DoCaprio in the Martin Scorsese film “Killers of the Flower Moon”. For her portrayal, the actress was awarded a Golden Globe in the “Best Actress” category. Gladstone and the movie received Oscar nominations as well.
Yang, 33, most recently starred in “Dicks: The Musical.” This year, Yang will next be seen in the musical fantasy “Wicked,” which also stars Jonathan Bailey, Ariana Grande, and Ethan Slater.
