Anjumm Shharma said that it was best for him not to have read Arnab Ray’s “Sultan of Delhi” for his part

Anjumm Shharma, an actor, has said that he skipped reading Arnab Ray’s “Sultan of Delhi” because he thought it would affect how he saw portraying a Bangali in Milan Luthria’s television series.

Anjumm explained how he adapted the role Bangali, saying, “After the first reading with Milan sir, I had started to develop a sense of the character and understand his background.”

Despite having the book from the beginning, he said, “I chose not to read it because I had already made a decision as to how I wanted to see my character.”

Anjumm said, “I thought it would be best for me not to read the book because it would alter my perception of the character and interfere with my preparation.”

The historical criminal thriller series is produced by Reliance Entertainment, directed by Milan Luthria, and co-written by Suparn Verma. It is based on the novel “Sultan of Delhi: Ascension” by Arnab Ray.

An ideal ensemble cast for the show includes Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjumm Shharma, Vinay Pathak, Nishant Dahiya, and the women Anupriya Goenka, Mouni Roy, Harleen Sethi, and Mehreen Pirzada.

Disney+ Hotstar is now streaming “Sultan of Delhi.”
