Randeep Hooda and director Prawaal Raman work together on “Sergeant”

The next movie “Sergeant,” which also stars actor Adil Hussain, was written and directed by Prawaal Raman, who previously collaborated with actor Randeep Hooda on the films “Darna Zaroori Hai” and “Main Aur Charles.” In his remarks, the director referred to Randeep as his “teacher” and to Adil as his “student”.

The director said, “Randeep is not just an actor for me; he’s more like a teacher,” when asked whether he would work with Randeep again. It takes a special actor to perform such a challenging role. Only Randeep could have taken his enthusiasm and commitment to another level, and that brilliance was required.

Sapna Pabbi and Arun Govil, who is most known for playing Lord Ram in the 1987 Ramanand Sagar television series “Ramayana,” also appear in “Sergeant.”

Since this is the director’s fourth movie with Adil, working with him has been an amazing delight. He said, “I am learning from his perspective on life and his skill. His religious demeanour gives any character the most lifelike quality.

The filmmaker has so far authored five screenplays, has helmed two films, and is now working on three further projects.

The international co-production ‘Sergeant’ is scheduled to air on JioCinema on June 30.
