The actress was questioned whether she intended to take on the role of prime minister of India in the near future during a recent interview. Kangana chuckled at the idea and said she wasn’t sure whether people would want her as prime minister after seeing her forthcoming film, “Emergency.”

“I recently finished a movie titled Emergency. At a function held to introduce the trailer for the forthcoming film Razakar: Silent Genocide of Hyderabad, Kangana said, “After watching that movie, nobody will want me as Prime Minister.”

Emergency, starring Kangana Ranaut, is a political drama. She is portraying Indira Gandhi, the late prime minister. In addition, Kangana is directing the film. Along with Mahima Chaudhry, Anupam Kher, Pupul Jayakar, and Shreyas Talpade, these actors play important parts in the movie. Emergency is not a biography of Indira Gandhi, despite being a political play, as Kangana has previously said.

It’s interesting to note that months before, Kangana said that thinking “I want to be a politician” is a “vulgar thought” for her. She contended that rather than having a private conversation about this, one should allow others make the final decision.

The people in charge must make the final decision and provide me the chance. “I’ll let them make this decision,” Kangana said to ABP in May 2023.
