14 wounded as airstrikes hit southern Lebanon

NEW DELHI: There have been two confirmed airstrikes in the area of Ghaziyeh, a seaside village in Lebanon. According to Reuters, witnesses in the region witnessed heavy black smoke rising from the surrounding area and heard loud booms.
The Israeli military has revealed that it struck weapons storage close to the port city of Sidon, which is why this event occurred. According to sources, one automobile was struck in these attacks, which have been confirmed as Israeli by Lebanese official media.

Uncertainty surrounds the precise objectives of the attacks, but Lebanese security officials claim that they struck factories and warehouses in an industrial region south of Sidon. According to reports, the attacks have wounded at least 14 people, most of whom are Syrian laborers.

According to the Israeli military, Hezbollah, a terrorist organization from Lebanon, flew a drone into Israel, prompting these airstrikes. It is important to note that Israel has been hitting Hezbollah with airstrikes in the southern Lebanon border region because the group has been firing rockets into Israel. Strikes have been uncommon, however, farther north of the border zone.

Over 170 Hezbollah members and over thirty civilians have perished in Israeli attacks on Lebanon since the organization began launching rockets in support of Hamas, according to Hezbollah’s declared estimates and a Reuters tally of civilian casualties.
Israeli bombings in southern Lebanon this week claimed the lives of seven Hezbollah members, including a leader in the organization’s elite Radwan division, and ten civilians. Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, has responded by vowing that Israel would pay “in blood” for the deaths of civilians. Israel Katz, the foreign minister of Israel, has threatened to “pay a heavy price” for Lebanon’s failure to force Hezbollah out of the border region via diplomatic means.
