Meghan Markle was concerned that her kids would “blame her” for growing up outside of the royal family

According to reports, Meghan Markle worries that her two children, Princess Lilibet, age two, and Prince Archie, age four, could hold her accountable for “depriving them” of the chance to live as working royals in the UK.

Since they left the royal family as employees in 2020 and moved to California, the US, with their two kids, Meghan and Prince Harry’s relationship with the family has been tense.

British royal author and analyst Tom Quinn stated in an interview with UK tabloid The Mirror that the Duchess of Sussex worries her two kids may grow to hate her for not allowing them to spend time with their paternal grandparents and cousins.

The publication was informed by Quinn that Meghan does miss some aspects of life in the UK and worries that her children will blame her if they never get to see their cousins and feel as adults that they have been deprived of what might have been a fun and meaningful existence in the UK as working royals. Quinn is one of the couple’s few aristocratic friends from her time in the UK.

Quinn continued, citing Meghan’s British aristocracy acquaintances as saying the Duchess “misses some aspects” of life there but is still “furious at the way she was treated” as a member of the Royal Family.

“It will be a while before Meghan makes a return to the UK. Quinn said, “She has already made it clear that she will not be going back to the UK, and her friends maintain that she is still very angry about the treatment she received there.”

Since Queen Elizabeth’s burial in 2022, Meghan has not been back to the UK; in contrast, her husband, Prince Harry, has been many times, most recently for King Charles’ coronation on May 6 of this year. In addition, he is anticipated to visit the UK the following month to mark the Invictus Games’ tenth anniversary.

US IS ANNOUNCED AS PRINCE HARRY’S “PRIMARY RESIDENCE.”
Putting the United States on his official residency list seems to be a sign of Prince Harry’s increasing distance from the royal family. According to the UK-based Daily Mail, this modification was disclosed in paperwork submitted to Companies House for Harry’s eco-tour company, Travalyst.

Harry specified June 29, 2023, as the “date of change” on the forms, despite the fact that they were submitted on Wednesday. This date coincides with the formal departure of Harry and Meghan from their British home, Frogmore Cottage, at the request of King Charles, Harry’s father. It’s yet unknown how the Duke of Sussex’s decision to renounce his British citizenship would affect any of his titles.

Harry said that he still considered the UK to be his home at a court hearing in December of last year, despite the legal shift. He said that safety concerns were the reason he felt “forced” to go to the US.

The duke said in a written declaration read in a London court during his legal battle for taxpayer-funded police protection that “the UK is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home as much as where they live now in the US.” But the offer was turned down.

“It’s not possible to keep them safe while they’re on UK soil, so that cannot happen,” he said.
