Watch | After the wheel comes off after takeoff, a plane in San Francisco makes an emergency landing

Shortly after takeoff on Thursday, a wheel came off and the Boeing 777 aircraft headed for Japan had to make an emergency landing in an airport parking lot.

The wheel drops moments after the United Airlines aircraft takes off from San Francisco International Airport, according to a video that has been uploaded online.

According to the local KRON4 source, the wheel bounced into an employee parking lot. Airport authorities said that other automobiles were damaged.

According to United Airlines, the aircraft headed for Osaka had 249 passengers.

Numerous quality control problems have been reported by Boeing; the most recent being a terrifying occurrence that occurred in January when a door-sized panel on a Boeing 737 Max 9 blew off the fuselage after the aircraft took off in Portland, Oregon.

The event resulted in a 19-day emergency grounding of all Boeing 737 Max 9 aircraft, although no one was badly injured.

The FAA director said that Boeing must “commit to real and profound improvements” after US regulators last week gave the corporation 90 days to develop a plan addressing quality control shortcomings.

According to United, the Boeing 777 is built to land safely even if several of its primary landing struts are broken or missing since each one has six wheels.

After being rerouted to Los Angeles, the aircraft made a safe landing there.

According to the airline, passengers were anticipated to depart once again on Thursday.
