The Israeli military claims that an attack on an army base in northern Israel did not result in any damage

Hezbollah claimed to have flown explosive drones at the region on Tuesday, but the Israeli military said that no harm had been done to one of its army facilities in northern Israel. Three militants from the group were killed by an Israeli drone strike in Lebanon, according to authorities.

The precise location of the facility was not disclosed by the Israeli military. Hezbollah claimed to have used many drones to strike the Israeli army’s northern command center in Safed.

The attack, according to Hezbollah, was a response to two incidents: an Israeli drone strike on Monday that killed Hezbollah commander Wissam al-Tawil, the most senior member of the Iran-backed organization to be killed in recent months, and an Israeli strike in Beirut last week that killed top Hamas official Saleh Arouri along with six other people.

The daily Israel-Hezbollah battles have been occurring outside of the city of Safed.

Without indicating where the shot impacted, the Israeli military said that its air defense system had been activated in an attempt to intercept “hostile aircraft” and that it had attacked the installation.

Later, Hezbollah claimed that it had also struck three or more Israeli border stations.

Three Hezbollah members were killed on Tuesday when an Israeli drone attack struck a vehicle in the southern hamlet of Ghandouriyeh, according to two security sources and a Hezbollah spokesman. It happened the day after a drone attack in an adjacent town claimed the life of al-Tawil.

The officials followed the guidelines for briefings and spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The strikes on Tuesday, which were comparatively far from areas of activity along the border between Lebanon and Israel, demonstrate the growing tensions along the boundary since Hezbollah began targeting Israeli military facilities in the wake of the fatal attack on southern Israel by the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas on October 7. Hezbollah claims they are relieving pressure on Hamas in Gaza by keeping the northern front of Israel open.

150 militants have been lost by Hezbollah in the almost daily gunfights.

The identity of the three Hezbollah fighters killed in the attack on Ghandouriyeh, which was around 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the Israeli border, was not immediately known.
