Active Covid cases decreased to 3,343 nationwide

The number of coronavirus infections in India has increased by 202, but the number of active cases has fallen from 3,502 to 3,343 as of Sunday, according to statistics released by the Union Health Ministry.

The numbers updated at 8 am showed that the death toll rose to 5,31,880 after two fatalities.

The total for the Covid case was 4.49 crore (4,49,91,582).

According to the health ministry website, the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been reported at 98.81 percent, and the active cases now make up 0.01 percent of all infections.

4,44, 56,359 persons have recovered from the illness, and the case mortality rate has been noted at 1.18 percent.

The website of the ministry reports that the country has now received 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine as part of the ongoing national immunisation campaign.
