Guv sees Samrat Ashok perform in Gothic Hall at Gaiety

Today, actors from Darpan Gorakhpur performed the play “Samrat Ashok” at the Gothic Hall of the Gaiety Theatre.

Daya Prakash Sinha, a well-known Hindi dramatist from Uttar Pradesh, wrote the play. It included a compelling storyline, rich material, and a brilliant demonstration of contemporaneity, philosophy, historical events, and the author’s humanistic viewpoint.

Chitranjan Tripathi, who also composed the soundtrack, directed it.

Manvendra Tripathi played the role of Ashoka, while Reena Jaiswal played the role of Devi. Bindusara was played by Ajit Pratap Singh, while Chakraprani was represented by Vivek Shrivastava, Tishyarakshita by Dhani Gupta, Kunal by Raj Maura, Tissa by Chandra Prakash, and Shabasad by Harshit Verma.

The Sanskar Bharati Himachal Pradesh was in charge of organizing the play.

On this particular occasion, the principal guest was Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla.
