More than a hundred types on exhibit at Science City’s flower show

More than a hundred different types of flowers were on exhibit today at Pushpa Gujral Science City, where a colorful flower show was held.

The competition, which included categories including painting, flower rangoli, floral arrangement, and potted flower, gave attendees a chance to showcase their artistic abilities and horticultural knowledge. The main guest in attendance was Pirtpal Singh, the former CEO of Defence Estates, Ministry of Defence, Government of India.

During his speech, Singh said that flower exhibitions help create a happy atmosphere for celebrating the amazing world of plants, educating people about their importance, and inspiring a feeling of duty to protect the harmony and beauty of our natural surroundings. The annual flower exhibit, according to Science City Director Rajesh Grover, is a celebration of the area’s floral richness. He emphasized how vital floral variety is to the well-being and efficiency of ecosystems. Flowers, according to him, attract a wide variety of pollinators, such as bees, butterflies, birds, and insects, sustaining different species throughout different stages of their life cycles.

Grover emphasized the need to protect and foster floral variety in order to keep a healthy and balanced ecosystem.
