Restaurants in Noida will provide voters in the Lok Sabha Elections of 2024 a discount

In an effort to boost voter turnout on April 26, the day of Gautam Budh Nagar’s 2024 Lok Sabha election, the Noida chapter of the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) has decided to give special “democracy discounts” to all customers who arrive at their partner restaurants with an inked finger. Only district residents would be eligible for the reductions, according to association leaders’ Tuesday statement.

“We are encouraging our members to run a special discount scheme for those guests who have cast their vote,” the TOI article said. Head of the NRAI Noida branch Varun Khera said, “We will be running this offer for dine-in customers with a 20% discount on April 26 and 27. It will be for all those who will cast their vote and will have an inked finger.” He said, “At least 50 significant eateries in Noida and Greater Noida have joined the initiative so far.

He claims that restaurants have also been instructed to extensively promote this scheme on their own marketing channels and social media accounts.

The majority of Noida’s eateries, he continues, will be giving this discount. The majority of Noida’s restaurants will be giving this deal, while certain retail food chains may not be able to. The goal is to inspire everyone to cast a ballot. Additionally, a lot of people could want to go out with friends and family since it’s the weekend, he says.

On May 25, eateries in Delhi will also be providing similar discount, following Noida. We have also completed this for Delhi; however, since Delhi will be voting in May, we will make the announcement the following month. Varun says, “This hasn’t been decided upon for Gurgaon yet.

District magistrate and election officer Manish Verma said, “All initiatives of citizen groups that encourage people to come out and vote are welcome.” in response to a query.
