Tomorrow is the start of NEST 2024 MSc Admission Registration; the exam is on June 30

Registration for the five-year Integrated MSc program, which is being offered by NISER Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai, will open for the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 tomorrow, March 30. On June 30, there will be two sessions for the NEST 2024 exam: from 2:30 pm to 6 pm and from 9 am to 12:30 pm. On July 10, the exam results will be announced. The NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks’ rationalized syllabus will serve as the foundation for the NEST exam’s curriculum.

The NEST 2024 results will be used to fill a total of 257 seats. The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and the University of Mumbai’s Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM–DAE CEBS), Mumbai, will accept applicants for their MSc programs in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics upon passing the test.

NEST 2024 MSC ADMISSION: QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates may show up for the NEST entrance test if they meet the following requirements for eligibility:

— In 2022 or 2023, the candidate must have completed the Class 12 board exam from any authorized Indian school board.

— Applicants may also sit for the Class 12 board exam in 2024.

In class twelve, students need to have studied the scientific stream.

— Candidates must have earned a minimum of 60% overall or an equivalent grade in Class 12. Students from SC and ST should have received a 55% aggregate grade in Class 12.

— There is no upper age restriction to take the NEST 2024 test.

Those who are accepted will be qualified to apply for the Department of Atomic Energy’s (Gov. of India) DISHA program, which offers a 60,000 rupee yearly scholarship. Furthermore, a payment of Rs 20,000 each year would be given to scholarship awardees for summer internships.

Top students at NISER and UM-DAE CEBS, together with those who finish the program with overall marks over a certain threshold, will be able to go straight to the interview stage for admission to the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) training school.
