The JRF award letter and National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) e-certificate for the December 2023 session have been released by the University Grants Commission. The UGC NET certificate download link is now accessible on the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) official websites, ugcnet.nta.ac.in and ugcnet.ntaonline.in.

The NTA declared its plans to use the UMANG and Digilocker systems to make certifications and documents accessible. The UGC NET Dec 2023 exam was given by the testing agency in 15 shifts over 8 days, in 292 sites, covering 83 subjects.

9,45,872 candidates registered in total to take the exams between December 6 and December 14 and 19. Sixty-five,928 candidates out of all those who registered appeared.

Those who are awarded the JRF prize have the right to work as associate professors and carry out research in their post-graduate discipline or a related one.

“JRF awardees may be chosen for full-time research work by universities, institutions, Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and other national organizations in compliance with the procedure prescribed by the,” the NTA said.

JRF-qualified candidates will be entitled to apply for several UGC fellowship programs, contingent on admission to universities and IITs.

The UGC NET electronic certificate will be valid for three years starting on the day the award letter is sent out. On the other hand, the fellowship will start for those candidates who have already enrolled in a PhD program on the day of their enrollment, whichever comes first, or the day the UGC NET Dec result is announced.

To get the e-certificate and JRF award letter, candidates need to input their UGC NET December 2023 application number, password, and security pin.
