When Music Taken Over The Runway At Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI, by Saba Azad and Sushant Divgikr

National fashion designers showcased their inventiveness and originality on the Lakme Fashion Week + FDCI catwalk. Some of the top designers incorporated live musical acts that enriched the five-day fashion festival.

The runway was transformed into a stage where music and fashion went hand in hand, all in keeping with the showcase’s concept and the collection on exhibit. Every musical performance on the runway, including the multi-instrumental act by Raghav Sachar, the disco-funk dances of Saba Azad, and the beautiful voice of Sushant Divgikr, made an impression on the audience that lasted long.

ITRH’s Sushant Divgikr

Sushant Divgikr, also known as Rani KoHEnur, is the goddess with the golden voice. She captivated everyone with her powerful voice as she launched ITRH’s program with the hit song “Maiya Maiya.” Wearing a shimmering gold corset gown, Sushant dazzled the audience with her performance and looked like a real queen as she walked the catwalk. One of Egypt’s most famous personalities, Queen Nefertiti, served as the inspiration for ITRH’s TITI collection. Each outfit that was worn on the runway paid homage to the beauty and power of the feminine soul.

Gaurang’s Hardik Chauhan

The audience has often been left wanting more by Gaurang Shah’s displays. This season, Gaurang included singer Hardik Chauhan into his performance, offering a cinematic experience that celebrated fashion. The Indian vocalist, who is self-taught and now residing in Germany, comes from a hamlet near Ahmedabad. Gaurang claims that after seeing one of Hardik’s YouTube videos, he became enamored with his singing. Hardik was flown in from Germany by Gaurang, who was eager to show off his skills at his performance. And we’re happy he did! Hardrik’s enchanting heavenly voice complemented Gaurang’s vibrant performance well.

Jonqui and DJ Srii by Anamika Khanna for AKOK

One of the few Indian designers who really understands how to rock the catwalk is Anamika Khanna. Anamika improved her performance this season with AKOK by include live music with well-known drummer Jonqui and singer-DJ Shrii. The vibrant exhibition gained a touch of edge when the performers’ rhythmic music blended with the essence of AKOK.

JJV’s Bhuwin JJ Varaha’s Kapurthala

JJ Valaya’s transition to a premium brand The audience was taken to a world of celebration and travel by JJV Kapurthala’s display. Through his collection Char, JJ Valaya brought a symphony of cultures and narrative, and artist Bhuwin created a unique performance to honor his presentation. His performance delighted everybody in attendance, and the evening’s best song was the catchy version of “Mast Nazron Se.”

Geisha Designs’ Saba Azad and Imaad Shah (Madboy/Mink)

Saba Azad and Imaad Shah performed an amazing disco-funk set at the showcase once again, courtesy of Geisha Designs. Regarding their performance, Saba and Imaad (Madboy/Mink) said, “We’re thrilled to be working with Geisha Designs once more.” We’re thrilled to introduce our unique blend of Indian Disco and Funk to new audiences at Lakme Fashion Week, since fashion and music go hand in hand. We believe that something special that Paras and Shalini produced with the five aspects in mind complements our song so well. We worked with Lakmé Salon to choose a selection of songs from our repertoire that really enhance the collection’s flavor.

For Ranna Gill, Raghav Sachar

With her collection Urban Prairie, Ranna Gill woven a symphony of timeless styles and natural colors into a captivating tapestry of beauty. Renowned singer and musician Raghav Sachar also enthralled the audience with a captivating performance on the runway, thanks to Ranna. Raghav played the flute, clarinet, and saxophone while performing to songs like Titanium and Flowers, among others. It was a wonderful evening of fashion and entertainment since he also convinced Madhuri Dixit Nene to dance to his songs during the showcase.
