18 Atal Residential Schools to Be Approved by the UP Cabinet, Costing Rs. 1,250 Crore

The development of 18 Atal Residential Schools in the style of the center-run Navodaya Vidyalayas was authorized by the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet on Tuesday at a cost of Rs 1,250 crore.

According to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, the Cabinet, which convened at the residence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, accepted 23 suggestions.

According to Khanna, the state government would invest Rs 1,250 crore to build Atal Residential Schools across all 18 of Uttar Pradesh’s divisions.

These schools can accommodate 1,000 pupils, including 500 females and the same number of boys. Classes go from sixth to twelfth grades. Children whose academic performance was impacted by Covid may enroll in these schools as well, he said.

Khanna stated that these institutions would serve as centers of excellence.

According to the minister, the Cabinet also agreed to buy 25 lakh cellphones that would be given out free of charge to students as part of the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme.

Another significant choice was to accept the Chief Minister’s Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme, which would help 10 lakh people. The training would be paid for by Rs 9,000 to the recipients.

Six dairy facilities owned by the Pradesh Cooperative Dairy Federation will be leased out for a period of ten years, according to Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi. Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Noida, Prayagraj, Azamgarh, and Moradabad are among the cities where these factories are situated.

Additionally, the Cabinet established rules for the marketing and manufacture of biodiesel.
