A 12-year-old child perishes after drowning in a pool
Tuesday in the Sanathnagar Labor Welfare Center swimming pool, a 12-year-old child drowned to death. Karthikeya, the dead, is said to have gone to retrieve a ball that had fallen into the pool and drowned.
The police have opened a case and are looking into it. The ball landed in the swimming pool as K Karthikeya and his buddies were playing cricket on the field. After scaling a tree, he fell into the swimming pool area. He quickly leaped into the pool after seeing the ball, drowning and dying as a result.
When Karthikeya’s friends were unable to locate him, they notified his mother. The mother then proceeded to the swimming pool area and, with the assistance of the administration, located him.
Karthikeya attended Vashishta School and was a fifth grader. His mother is employed by the GHMC as a sweeper, while his father, S Srinivas, is a barber.
His remains were sent to the Gandhi Hospital for an autopsy.
