KS Eshwarappa, A BJP Member, Will Run in the LS Polls on His Own and Says “Even PM Modi Can’t Change My Mind”

Senior BJP leader KS Eshwarappa said he would run independently and win the polls even if Prime Minister Narendra Modi tried to convince him otherwise. His son had previously been refused a ticket for the Haveri-Gadag Lok Sabha constituency.

During an open forum in Shivamogga, one of Eshwarappa’s female supporters asked him what he would say if Prime Minister Modi came to his house and tried to talk him out of standing for independent office.

The former Karnataka minister responded to her by saying, “I want to guarantee you in front of these group of supporters that I would not welcome Modi even if he tries to come to my home. I promise to treat my activists and supporters with respect, and I have every confidence in my ability to run effectively for office and win.”

He had previously said, “I have 40 years of faithful service to the party.” It’s unjust, CT Ravi, Sadananda Gowda, Nalin Kumar Kateel, and Pratap Simha have all said, and all back me,” asserted Eshwarappa.

In an apparent act of protest, he had said that his followers were pushing him to run as an Independent against BY Raghavendra, Yediyurappa’s son.
