A man is being held for the murder and burning of his pregnant wife in Beas

It is said that a six-month pregnant lady in Bullenangal village, Beas, was slain by her husband today. To get rid of the corpse, the accused, Sukhdev Singh, set fire to it inside the home.

But the locals alerted the authorities, who arrived on the scene and transported the partially burned corpse for a postmortem investigation. The culprit was detained in relation to this, according to Gurwinder Singh, SHO of the Beas police station.

The victim’s mother, Jyoti, who lives in the Kaler Ghuman hamlet, informed the police that Pinki married Sukhdev, a daily wager, around four years ago.

She said that he had physically abused her daughter in the past for various reasons. Pinki has spoken to her relatives on the phone many times about her problems.

She said that she begged Sukhdev to stop doing this in vain, along with her family and other relatives.

Pinki was six months pregnant, according to Jyoti, and Sukhdv had been missing work for many days. She said that he participated in pigeon flying contests and maintained pigeons on his roof.

He barely ever took her daughter Pinki to the doctor for examinations.

She said that after they argued over something today, he killed her daughter and set the corpse on fire.
