A petition against V D Satheesan involving the SilverLine project is rejected by a Kerala court

The petition requesting an investigation into the claim made by Nilambur MLA P V Anwar that Leader of the Opposition V D Satheesan had received a sizable sum from Bengaluru-based businesses to damage the SilverLine project was denied on Thursday by the Court of Enquiry Commissioner and Special Judge.

Judge Rajakumara M V rejected the private party’s request, stating that the party did not directly know about the event that Anwar brought up in a written report to the legislature.

The petitioner was unable to distinguish the claimed offenses of the accused, according to the court. Anwar said that Satheesan was paid Rs 150 crore by certain Bengaluru and Hyderabadi companies to undermine SilverLine. Three container trucks carried the cash to Chavakkad, where it was delivered in two ambulances for distribution.
