A victim of online fraud has regained Rs 1.5L

A victim who was cheated online has had Rs 1,50,000 successfully recovered by the Cyber Investigation Unit, Rajouri. The unit is a special division tasked with handling cybercrime and internet fraud.

Following receipt of a cyberfraud allegation, the Rajouri section opened an inquiry.

“Swift action was taken against the fraudulent activities and the money was recovered through the diligent investigative efforts of the unit in coordination with financial institutions,” an official said.

According to the official, the unit is still dedicated to preventing and combating financial crimes, and it works nonstop to protect residents’ interests and financial security.
