According to PM, Congress and DMK degrade Tamil identity in the name of Dravidam

At what he described as his last public gathering in Tamil Nadu before to India’s election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that the Congress and DMK, two parties in the INDIA alliance, were erasing Tamil identity in the guise of Dravidam. While PM Modi was in Ambasamudram promoting the BJP candidates, he urged the people to support the NDA coalition.

The BJP adores Tamil people and their traditions. Southern Tamil Nadu was home to freedom warriors like Kattabomman, Velu Nachiyar, and the Marudhu brothers. In keeping with Kamaraj’s integrity, we want to establish Thiruvalluvar cultural centers all over the globe in order to further Tamil culture. But under the guise of Dravidam, the DMK and Congress are trying to eradicate Tamil identity and culture. The way they handled jallikattu and gave over Katchatheevu to a foreign nation is affecting the rights of fishermen in Tamil Nadu, Modi stated.

The prime minister went on to say that the DMK administration is supporting drug dealers. “The drug market in Tamil Nadu is valued at hundreds of crores. A toddler can even tell who is protecting the drug dealers.

He stated, “I will not remain a silent spectator to the drug menace and I will make the country drug-free,” accusing the DMK of defaming J Jayalalithaa and AIADMK supremo MGR. Additionally, Modi said that the aspirations of the Devendra Kula Vellalar group have been met by his administration.

Over the last ten years, we have put a lot of effort into Tamil Nadu’s growth. We launched the “Vande Bharat” train, which runs from Chennai to Tirunelveli. In the southern section of the nation, bullet train service will soon be launched. During the Jal Jeevan Mission, we have built 12 lakh houses, 57 lakh toilets, and 1.2 lakh drinking water connections for households in Tamil Nadu,” Modi said at the event, which was attended by all five of the candidates: Pon Radhakrishnan, John Pandian, Vijayaseelan, and Raadhika Sarathkumar.
