Again, the temperature falls below 40°C

Nagpur: On Monday, chilly winds and rain caused the maximum temperature to drop to 33 degrees Celsius, which is -8.3 degrees below average. This brought back the odd chill in the air. Following a precipitous dip of -7 degrees Celsius on April 7, this was the second time in the previous 15 days that the maximum temperature dipped significantly below average. Strong winds also toppled several trees.
Gondia defeated the hill station town of Mahabaleshwar, which was slightly warmer at 31.5 degrees Celsius, to record the lowest temperature in Maharashtra, at 26 degrees Celsius.

The highest temperature in Nagpur on April 7 was likewise lower than in Mahabaleshwar.
The western region of Vidarbha, which includes Washim, was scorching at 42.2 degrees Celsius, three degrees above usual, while the eastern section of the state recorded the lowest maximum temperature.
Gondia had 10 mm of rain, Nagpur 3 mm, and Amravati 1 mm. Every district in Vidarbha reported a temperature between 33 and 38 degrees Celsius, with the exception of Washim, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli.

There were isolated thunderstorms with lightning and strong gusts across Yavatmal, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Bhandara, Gondia, Nagpur, and Wardha.

In addition, there was light to moderate rainfall in various locations over Chandrapur, a little amount over Gadchiroli, and sporadic locations throughout the districts of Gondia, Bhandara, Yavatmal, Wardha, and Nagpur.
At least four calls about tree falls in various sections of the city were attended to by firefighters from the fire and emergency services department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, one of which was at a residence in Adarsh Colony, Trimurti Nagar. Thankfully, none of these occurrences resulted in any injuries.

The first tree was removed from the housing complex owned by the state government next to the Ambazari police station. Additionally, a cow that had fallen into a nullah was recovered there by firemen.
Firefighters quickly removed another tree that had fallen on busy Central Avenue close to Dalvi Hospital at Telephone Exchange Square.

When a big tree fell on top of a home in Adarsh Nagar, similar calls were handled. Firefighters from the Trimurti Nagar fire station arrived at the scene quickly.
On Monday night, firefighters from the Civil Lines station cleared out another uprooted tree on Deekshabhoomi Road between Rahate Colony Road and ITI.
