CM criticizes Harish Rao’s challenge to quit, citing a format error

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy responded to BRS leader T Harish Rao’s resignation challenge by stating that the opposition leader’s resignation letter did not follow the correct format, demanding that six guarantees and a remission of agricultural loans be implemented by August 15.

Speaking during a program, he informed the Congress social media staff that the resignation letter to the Speaker must follow a certain structure. “Harish Rao failed to draft the resignation letter according to the guidelines. It’s a long letter, and it won’t be accepted. Revanth Reddy attacked the former minister, saying, “He’s acting smart about his resignation.”

The CM also said that the Martyrs’ Memorial served as a front through which the previous minister could perform plays and deceive people.

The chief minister said, “I accept Harish Rao’s challenge and give my word to implement the Rs two lakh farmer loan waiver before August 15,” adding that the state government will hardly have to pay between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000 crore for it.

Comparing cricket formats like test matches, one-day internationals, and T-20 matches to the evolution of traditional news outlets (such as newspapers and news channels), the CM noted that social media enables quick and easy news distribution without any delays, similar to the brisk pace of T-20 cricket as opposed to longer formats.
