Chandigarh: A couple was assaulted in an attempted robbery near Kalagram

Four people accosted a couple riding a scooter to Mani Majra in an attempt to rob them.

The Mani Majra resident, who is a woman, reported anything to the police. On Wednesday night, four people forced her and her husband to halt on the road between Kalagram and the railway light station while they were traveling towards Mani Majra.

She said that the suspects had beaten her husband and had assaulted her with a sharp object when she attempted to stop them. After being hurt, the lady was brought to Sector 32’s Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

After receiving information about the occurrence, a team from the police arrived at the scene and began their investigation. The police station in Mani Majra has a case recorded.
