Check Out The Details Of The Amrit Kalash Yatra: A Special Train To Remember India’s Bravehearts

To help participants reach New Delhi, many Amrit Kalash special trains are being operated around the nation as part of the “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign. This morning, October 27, these trains will begin their journey to New Delhi.

The purpose of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” (MMMD) campaign was to honor the courageous soldiers in the Army who gave their lives in defense of the country. Rice and holy soil were gathered from homes all throughout the country and meticulously arranged in Amrit Kalash containers as part of this project. The construction of the “Amrit Vatika” and “Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” monuments at Kartavyapath, close to India Gate in New Delhi, would need the use of these materials.

Assam marks the start of the Amrit Kalash Yatra

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, launched the Amrit Kalash Yatra today in Guwahati. He signaled the departure of the Rajdhani Express, which was headed for Delhi and carrying 270 urns full of earth. Notably, on September 20, this year, the Amrit Kalash Yatra began in Assam. As part of the Yatra, dirt was gathered from homes across Assamese villages and municipal wards, combined, and placed in urns in Guwahati.

Special trains from Vijayawada to New Delhi, Amrit Kalash

On Saturday, October 28, the special train is scheduled to leave Vijayawada at 10 am and stop at a number of stations, including Kazipet, Balharshah, Nagpur, Itarsi Junction, Bhopal, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, and Agra Cantt, before arriving at Hazrat Nizamuddin at 2.25 pm.

According to the Culture Ministry, trains from Assam and Sikkim will arrive in Delhi on October 28th, while trains from Tripura and Meghalaya will arrive on Friday.

On October 29, Amrit Kalash special trains carrying more than 1,500 delegates would arrive from Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Lakshadweep. This month’s 30th will see a train from Rajasthan arrive in New Delhi.

The “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign was started nationwide on August 9th of this year to honor the “Veers” who gave their life in defense of the nation.
