Congress is considering legal options since the EC is not responding to allegations against Modi

New Delhi: Supriya Shrinate, a spokesman for the Congress, said that the party is considering taking legal action because Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s words on the “redistribution of wealth” have not been addressed by the Election Commission.

According to Shrinate, organizations like as the EC must have the people’s whole confidence and should endeavor to rebuild it if it has been eroded. “In Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered hateful comments. On Monday, my colleagues and I met with the EC, and we have filed allegations against him. We are considering legal options since they are not responding to our issue,” she said.

The Congress filed a request for “appropriate action” against Modi with the Election Commission (EC) on Monday. The Congress said that Modi’s statements on “redistribution of wealth” during a Rajasthani electoral rally were “divisive,” “malicious,” and directed against a specific religious group.

After completing a study, the Prime Minister said on Sunday that the Congress program promised “redistribution” of wealth, which sparked a political controversy.

“We’re hoping for a free and fair election. However, we don’t see much proof of it,” Shrinate said, adding that it would be best to keep the details of the EC’s measures against the BJP under wraps.

“Even if one person says his or her vote didn’t go where it was intended, it is the responsibility of institutions like the EC to restore people’s faith,” Shrinate stated about the proper operation of EVMs. She brought out the fact that the EC has rejected the opposition parties’ demands for 100% VVPAT counting.
