In Tamil Nadu, 72.09 percent of voters cast ballots in the single-phase parliamentary election on Friday evening, sealing the outcomes of several notable candidates, including MK Vishnuprasad (Congress, Cuddalore) and Sowmiya Anbumani (PMK-NDA Dharmapuri), a brother and sister; aunt Tamilisai Soundararajan (BJP, Chennai South); and nephew Vijay Vasanth (Congress, Kanniyakumari).

Additionally, the voters sealed the fate of CN Annadurai, a DMK candidate in Tiruvannamalai, who has the same name and initials as the party founder and previous chief minister, and MK Stalin, a PMK candidate in Mayiladuthurai, who also carries the same name and initials as the DMK president and chief minister.
