Five people are being questioned by Vijayawada police in relation to the Jagan assault case

Five people are allegedly being detained for interrogation by the city police as they look into the assault on Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Daba Kottu in Ajith Singh Nagar, Vijayawada, last Saturday.

When a stone was thrown at Jagan from the mob outside Vivekananda School in the city, he was struck above the eyebrow.

Velampalli Srinivasa Rao, a former minister and Vijayawada Central contender, was hurt in the assault as well.

The special teams who were assigned to look into the matter have selected at least sixteen people to interrogate and have now reduced that number to five, whose involvement is still being looked into.

The police gathered CCTV footage from locations close to the crime site as well as video recordings from a variety of participants in the tour on Saturday. Authorities in Ajith Singh Nagar have reportedly apprehended Satish, also known as Satti, from Vaddera Colony. There are rumors that Satish participated in the roadshow with four of his pals. It is reported that they labor for a daily pay.

Police have allegedly concluded that the stone was thrown at a fast speed, notwithstanding the original suspicion that the perpetrator may have used an air cannon or sling.

The Chief Minister was struck by the stone, which then deflected and struck Vellampalli, inflicting a minor eye damage.~

Police are still investigating the reason for CM Jagan’s assault.

According to police suspicions, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was attacked with a piece of pavement tile.

Although senior police officers acknowledged that five people are in their care, they would not comment on the attack’s motivation.

Although initial investigation revealed that the incident was a mischievous act, investigators are currently looking into potential political motivations behind the crime.

Over the assault, the opposition TDP, the governing YSRC, and the Jana Sena Party are engaged in a high-volume verbal battle. The opposition parties assert that the event was stage-managed, notwithstanding the YSRC’s allegations that the TDP was the one who started the violence.
