In a swipe at Rahul Gandhi, PM Modi declares that the Congressman “sahabzade” will lose the Wayanad seat after Amethi

In a jab at Rahul Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that “Congress’ sahabzade” would lose from the Wayanad seat in Kerala in the current Lok Sabha elections and that he will then need to seek for a safer seat.

Speaking at a rally in support of BJP candidates for the Nanded and Hingoli seats in Maharashtra, Modi said that the data from the first round of the Lok Sabha elections suggests that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has received a lopsided amount of votes.

“The Congress’s sahabzade will lose Wayanad as well after losing Amethi,” Modi said, referring to Rahul Gandhi. He will thus need to find a secure seat after April 26.

He said that certain leaders of the INDIA group migrated from the Lok Sabha to the Rajya Sabha because they lacked the guts to run for office, seemingly a jab at Sonia Gandhi.

“As there is no party candidate in their constituency, the family will not vote for a Congress candidate for the first time,” he said.

According to Modi, he has spent the last ten years correcting the Congress regimes’ poor leadership. “There’s a lot of work to be done,” he said.

He said that the Congress has acted as a roadblock to the advancement of farmers and the underprivileged.

“The problem in agriculture did not arise today. Congress’s bad policies are to blame for it, according to Modi.

Speaking directly to the INDIA bloc, he said that it lacks a face and that people are unsure of whom to trust with the future of their nation.

“They can say whatever they want, but the truth is that Congress leaders have already conceded even before the polls were released,” he added.

He referred to the opposing coalition as a collection of self-serving individuals who have banded together to defend their unethical behavior.

In order to exercise their right to vote in the Lok Sabha elections, he urged citizens to turn out in big numbers.

Casting a ballot does not benefit you in any way. You are safeguarding the future of our nation. My goal is to raise the spirits of the opposition party workers. The opposition leaders will undoubtedly lose the elections, but there will be an opportunity for you eventually. But you have to urge them to cast ballots,” he said.

According to Modi, candidates for 25% of the seats in the INDIA bloc were running against one another in the elections.

“They will be fighting more with each other after (the election results on) June 4,” he said.

He questioned what would have happened to Sikh immigrants from Afghanistan in the absence of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

While the members of the opposition INDIA alliance are looking for a comeback after suffering setbacks in the elections of 2014 and 2019, the NDA, led by Prime Minister Modi, is aiming for a bigger majority for a third term in office.
