In Baghpat, Yogi and Jayant share a stage

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, joined the dais with Jayant Chaudhury, the leader of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), on Friday in Baghpat. He touched a nerve with the Jat community there by paying heartfelt homage to the late Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Chaudhary Charan Singh.

Adityanath thanked former prime minister Chaudhary Charan Singh and “the sacred land of Bharat Mata’s great son” during his speech at the Vijay Shankhnaad Rally in Baghpat. Adityanath thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that the awarding of the Bharat Ratna to Singh is a worthy tribute to the nation’s farming community and that Modi had taken note of Singh’s values and ideals, included farmer issues into the political agenda, and implemented welfare programs that would help farmers.

As the NDA candidate, the CM asked for support for Rajkumaar Sangwan, an RLD member running from Singh’s pocket borough of Baghpat.

RLD head Jayant Chaudhury spoke at the gathering and mentioned his father, former Union Minister Chaudhary Ajit Singh. He said that he chose to join the NDA and contribute to the nation’s progress because he had learnt how to make important choices from his father.

We’re at war with the BJP. This is a shared battleground and platform. The party members and top BJP leaders are working very hard. We have united at this point to defend our country. We have the opportunity to further PM Modi’s efforts and catchphrases. Every day, he travels to different parts of the nation, makes personal pleas to people, and puts in a lot of effort in an attempt to win the people’s historic third mandate. Hard effort usually pays off, the RLD head said.

Later, the chief minister spoke at a public gathering at Barauli, Aligarh, which was held to support incumbent member of parliament and BJP candidate Satish Gautam. He emphasized throughout the rally that living by the principles of Lord Ram is essential and that calling upon him to complete every work is the way to achieve success. Adityanath also launched a scathing assault on the Opposition group about the state of peace and order and agricultural concerns.

In addition to installing Lord Ram in his dwelling, the chief minister said that the BJP-led administration had made sure that everyone who presented a danger to the safety and security of women and merchants in the state would make their way to Ram Naam Satya hain, the last trip. He also emphasized the achievements of Modi’s ten-year presidency.
