Karnataka youth who wrote the song “Modi” claim they were attacked by many persons

A social media video that went viral has sparked a heated discussion between a young person who claims to be a die-hard fan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the writer of the song “Modi.” The young person claims that on Friday, he was brutally beaten by many Muslim youngsters and was made to yell pro-Pakistan chants.

The event, which was recorded on camera, shows the young person—identified as Lakshmi Narayana, also known as Rohith—being brought by the police to a medical facility in Varuna hobli in Mysuru. He talks about the experiences he had getting subscribers for his YouTube channel.

As per Rohith’s statement in the video, he was sharing his song in support of Modi near the Government Guesthouse when he was attacked. He was also pushing others to watch and subscribe to his channel. He told the story of how a guy had asked him to show his friends the song and urge them to subscribe. However, he was reportedly attacked by five Muslim guys after arriving at the scene. In addition, Rohith said that they peed on him and desecrated a picture of Lord Sri Rama that he was holding.

The event, according to BJP and Modi supporters, is an attack on free speech and political convictions. Srivatsa, a BJP leader and MLA, denounced the assault and brought up Rohith’s most recent visit, during which he demonstrated his commitment to Modi and received praise for it.

The fact that this kind of incident happened is depressing, particularly in light of the state’s elevated tensions. Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, we are organizing a protest against this act,” Srivatsa said. However, the cops are moving slowly. The inspector of the Lakshmipuram police station expressed doubt on Rohith’s claims, implying that further information is still being obtained. Overseeing the probe is DCP Muthuraj.

But according to city Police Commissioner Ramesh B, a formal complaint has been filed against five individuals. He said that six special teams led by DCPs Mutthuraju and Jahnavi have been formed to apprehend the accused, adding that prior to pursuing legal action, a comprehensive investigation is ongoing.
