Jubbal road accident claims two lives

The Bolero Camper vehicle they were traveling in crashed down a steep valley in the Jubbal sector of the Shimla district yesterday evening, killing two people—including a woman—and injuring another, according to authorities here today.

The dead were identified as Girja Nand’s (35), and Dhyan Singh’s (52), wife and son, respectively, from Jhagtan village. The wounded person was identified as Kapil, a Kothu village native and Sadhu Ram’s son.

Two of the passengers of the car died instantly when the driver lost control of it and it crashed down the ravine on the Jhagtan-Kothu connecting road.

After receiving a tip from the people, the police responded to the scene, retrieving the dead with assistance from the community while also rescuing the wounded. The wounded were sent urgently to Rohru’s Civil hospital.

Rohru According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravinder Negi, the accident is now being looked into.
