The police have made a noteworthy breakthrough when they captured a young person who has a criminal past and has been involved in drug trafficking. After a comprehensive investigation, the accused—who had previously evaded police raids—was ultimately apprehended.

According to reports, the young person charged is already facing ten criminal charges and comes from a difficult background. It is said that his father struggled with heroin addiction. The defendant had a reputation for keeping his home secure, often barring the doors and using a powerful guard dog—like a pitbull—to frighten off would-be trespassers. CCTV cameras were also placed in strategic locations around the property to keep an eye on any police activity and to make it easier to get rid of illicit materials before a possible search.

When the defendant was apprehended, a significant amount of chitta—a strong kind of heroin—was taken from him.

The accused was arrested, and the court remanded him into police custody for seven days so that the matter could be investigated further. Himachal police made a shocking discovery when they discovered not only a sizable cocaine shipment but also a terrifying instance of Pablo Escobar, the most notorious drug kingpin in the world, being idolized. A million-dollar stash of cocaine and a picture of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar were discovered in the hands of the 23-year-old defendant, named as Samrat Chauhan, popularly known as Vasu.

Late on Monday night at Valmiki Nagar, Nahan, the accused’s home was raided by Sirmaur police, who found 110 grams of chitta, a gold necklace, and around Rs 32,000 in cash.

In a news conference, Sirmaur’s Superintendent of Police, Raman Kumar Meena emphasized the importance of young people rejecting such criminal symbols and pursuing legal avenues for achievement.Due to suspicions of significant revenues from illegal operations, the police have started their investigations.
