Maharashtra: CM Shinde Says Insecure People Cannot Develop A Party In A Swipe At Uddhav

Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, made fun of Uddhav Thackeray on Monday, claiming that an insecure person cannot make a party gain support. He was speaking to the Marathi news station News18 Lokmat.

Shinde said, “One needs to have a broad mind and must support party workers,” when asked about Thackeray’s Vidarbha visit. One who lacks confidence cannot grow a party. Balasaheb Thackeray, who is now deceased, used to support us wholeheartedly. Such visits are useless since he no longer has the qualities we saw in him.

“During his two and a half year tenure as CM, he (Uddhav Thackeray) did not even sign on a single file and hardly left his house,” he claimed. By posing the question, “Who will join a sinking boat?” Shinde dismissed rumors that certain MLAs from his group might rejoin the Uddhav Thackeray faction.

One needs to put aside personal interest and goals in the family, Shinde remarked in response to Ajit Pawar and eight NCP MLAs joining his cabinet. A person who is energetic and capable of high performance cannot be held down for very long.

Shinde refuted rumors that he and deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis were engaged in a cold war. He has a wide mind to take a position like that. Fadnavis played a major role in my appointment as chief minister. We trust one other because we are friends,” Shinde remarked.
