May 7 is the hearing for Naidu’s bail petition

Delhi, New Delhi: On May 7, the Andhra Pradesh government will present a petition to the Supreme Court contesting a high court ruling that had granted TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu regular bail in the skill development corporation corruption case. Tuesday’s hearing on the petition was held before a bench of Justices Bela M. Trivedi and Pankaj Mithal. It was said that the state’s attorney had stated they had submitted an interlocutory motion in the case. It was noted that the aforementioned program does not seem to be in the file. PTI

PIL wants a three-year legal education after Class XII.

Delhi’s new city Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay, a BJP politician and attorney, has petitioned the Supreme Court to order the Bar Council of India and the Center to form an expert committee to investigate the viability of permitting a three-year LLB programme after Class XII to replace the present five-year legal programs. Traditionally, after earning a bachelor’s degree in any field, students would enroll in three-year LLB programs. Nonetheless, following Class XII, students may apply to five-year integrated legal programs offered by National Law Universities since the early 1990s by taking the Common Law Admission Test. TNS

A child was among the ten fatalities in the Gujarat tragedy

Gujarat’s Nadiad: On Wednesday, authorities in Gujarat’s Kheda district reported that ten people, including a child, perished in an automobile accident between a speeding vehicle and a stalled truck on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway close to Nadiad town. According to Kheda Superintendent of Police Rajesh Gadhiya, a preliminary investigation found that the truck, registered in Maharashtra, was stopped in the far left lane of the congested road when it had a technical issue. The automobile then collided with the truck from behind. He said that the driver and a youngster, age five, were among the 10 people who perished in the collision.
