ESI killed at the border with Shambhu

Today was Kaushal Kumar’s last day as an exemptee sub-inspector (ESI) stationed at the Shambhu border due to the farmers’ protest.

A spokeswoman for the Haryana Police said that Kaushal Kumar, 56, became unwell while working and was taken to the Civil Hospital in Ambala, where medical professionals pronounced him dead. Kaushal Kumar was positioned close to the Ghaggar beneath the bridge.

Kumar was assigned to the Chhappar police station in Yamunanagar district. He was a native of Kanjiwas village.

According to the spokesperson, the Haryana Police will never be the same after his untimely death. Shatrujeet Kapur, the DGP of Haryana, has his condolences on his sudden passing.

The second police officer to pass away amid the unrest is Kaushal Kumar. GRP sub-inspector Hira Lal, who was based at the Shambhu Border, had died earlier on February 16.
