Next month, IndiGo will launch direct flights between Delhi and Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan

Subject to regulatory permission, budget airline IndiGo said on Wednesday that it would begin offering direct flights from Delhi to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in Central Asia the next month.

As on September 22, there will be four flights per week between Delhi and Tashkent in Uzbekistan, and as of September 23, there will be three flights per week connecting Almaty in Kazakhstan with Delhi, according to IndiGo.

IndiGo will be flying to a total of 111 locations with the start of flight services to these two additional cities, including 32 in foreign markets, the airline said.

According to the airline, the opening of this new route would enhance India’s access to Kazakhstan, a significant financial hub in Central Asia.

According to IndiGo, this direct link would not only encourage trade but also greater economic and cultural relations between India and Uzbekistan. In addition, considering Kazakhstan’s position as the richest nation in Central Asia, connecting to Kazakhstan will further encourage trade and business.
