Notes from the campus: Talk on biodiversity at Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa

Sirsa: At Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), Sirsa’s zoology department hosted a comprehensive lecture. The keynote speaker was Professor Jagbir Singh Kirti of Punjabi University in Patiala. Prof. Kirti outlined the significance of bees and biodiversity. Additionally, he made the pupils aware of the detrimental consequences that plastic pollution and particulates have on the human body.

He spoke about how new illnesses were emerging that were dangerous to human health. He spoke about the conservation strategies being used to address the issue of groundwater level depletion. Professor Joginder Singh Dohan, Head of the Department of Zoology, revealed that Professor Ajmer Singh Malik, Chancellor of CDLU, oversaw the planning of the lengthy presentation.

Registration for PG courses opens.

Mahendragarh: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2024 for postgraduate (PG) and PG diploma programs. After that, on Monday, April 22, the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, will begin accepting applications for counseling. The online registration procedure will run until May 21.

Following the conclusion of the registration process, the merit list will be made public. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, congratulated the selected applicants and bestowed upon them good fortune for their promising future. Tejpal Dhewa, the nodal official for the Common University Entrance Test, said that interested candidates may get comprehensive details about the registration procedure via the university’s website. Tejpal Dhewa, Siddharth Rai, and Sushil Kumar will form the team in charge of coordinating the CUET (PG)-2024 process.

Talk about DST schemes

Sonepat: “Overview of International Scientific Cooperation and Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India schemes” was the topic of a lecture given by Dr. Sanjeev K. Varshney, a former advisor and the head of the department’s international division.

The department of chemistry at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST) in Murthal arranged the lecture. Faculty from the departments of physics and chemistry, as well as research researchers and final-year postgraduate students, attended the event.

Dr. Varshney’s explanation of the practical examples highlighted how partnerships and DST programs have a revolutionary effect on business, society, and the nation at large. In addition, he explained to the audience the difficulties and disputes that come from joint study.
