According to reports, 52-year-old Navin Patel passed away immediately. Patel was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

On social media, CCTV footage of the collision has gone viral. The driver wearing a red shirt is seen in the video riding his two-wheeler across the street.

He saw a fast bus approaching from his left side and attempted to use the brakes. But by the time he could slow down, the AMTS bus had collided with his bike.

The accident caused the bike to fall into the road, and the passing bus quickly mowed down the driver below it.

The bus driver was taken out of service and then arrested after the event became public. He was charged under the Motor Vehicle Act’s sections 177, 134B, and 184, as well as the Indian Penal Code’s sections 304A, 279, 337, and 427. Someone grabbed the bus.

In addition, the AMTS penalized the bus’s private operator, Arham, Rs 2 lakh.
